Adoptions

Many of the reptiles that pass through the doors of rescue facilities such as ours have had a less-than-perfect start in life. The majority of them have been affected by one or more of the following:
• Poor/improper diet
• Inadequate housing & husbandry
• Physical injury or injuries
• Lack of personal interaction
• Stress
Becasue of this, we at 2nd Chance Reptiles take steps to assure that those animals in need of a home are not placed in this type of environment or set of circumstances again. We screen all prospective adoptees in an effort to ensure the long-term health and happiness of both the animal and prospective adoptee.
It is for this reason that we will ask all prospective adoptees to fill out a short questionaire before placement is considered.
In our continued efforts to reduce the number of reptiles that arrive in resuce facilities such as ours, we absolutely will not allow the adoption of any animal(s) to the following:
• Minors (any person under the age of 18)
• Pet stores
• Any individual or persons acting as a buyer/purchaser for pet stores

If you are interested in adopting a reptile, or are looking for a specific reptile to adopt, please feel free to contact us.
